Interactions among Dogs, people and the environment in Boulder Colorado – A Case Study

This is an excellent report by Marc Bekoff and Carron A Meany addressing the impact of dogs, people and the environment at the Dry Creek Open Space in East Boulder.  As well as addressing a number of conflicts, it neatly summarizes impacts which regular visitors to this area may witness.

One thing to note is that since the report was prepared the Prairie Dog colony has been fenced off and the Prairie Dogs now confidently lounge on the other side of the fence watching the human visitors and dogs pass sometimes within inches, with an annoying sense of security.
